This residential area in Qingpu District, Shanghai. Development, which consists of 20 houses of five varieties, sits on a land of 43 acres, once used as a fish pond. seeking to integrate the new construction environment with the natural and cultural context in which the district exists elements, the characteristic structures of tradition reinterpreted executed in a contemporary language.

Houses – built with unconventional materials to the area, like gray stone and steel – have walls and gabled roofs sloped reflection of the details and components shown in the vernacular architecture of the region.
