Countryside is Converted from a Barn

This house in the open field is converted from a barn. The idea of the renovation was to create a house that sat naturally in the landscape, seems to be the construction of traditional agriculture and living space was comfortable enough for the contemporary lifestyle. Two new wings and a swimming pool were added to it. The main building barn converted into an open space with ceilings nine feet high approached oak. A lot of wood in the space and a contemporary fireplace give a warm feeling to it. All buildings have a very simple palette of materials: limestone building floors, oak floors, beams, doors and ceilings of plaster and painted white. The energy to run the underfloor heating is created by heat pumps ground source buried in the adjacent land.[via]
