Clingstone House is situated on a small island in Narragansett Bay is so named because he clings to a small island and was built by. S. Lovering Wharton and artist William Trost Richards. The house is 100% natural wood, 103 years and is now owned by the architect Henry Wood and his family. There are 23 rooms in the house and flats of 3 and the house has a wonderful view of the ocean. Although the house is old there are many modern technologies are used, for example, solar panels and wind turbines to generate electricity, rainwater recycling and water filtration systems at sea, and composting toilets.
