The Hilton Caledonian hotel Edinburgh was built in 1903 and is made out of Old Red Sandstone from the Scottish Borders.

The entry is at the northern end facing the west end of Princes Street. Along the Lothian Road facade are a series of gables and the narrow entry facade is formed from one huge decorated gable. There is a swimming pool, beauty rooms and a spa pool. Hilton Edinburgh is served by the Pompadour restaurant.
