This 3600 square foot house is designed by Hughes beach Umbanhowar Architects. It nests in the interstices between the coast and the road along a narrow place on the coast north of Jupiter Island, Florida. The house is designed in a modern style and is both a house and a picturesque coastal village elegant island. The house is divided into three areas: sleeping, entertaining space, and space for contemplation. Each segment is sensitive oriented to capture light and views. The sintered ceramic kitchen and dining room gives transparency and visual game in space South facing two-story entertainment. Face texture of the sleeping area on the northern highlight the ancient wisdom of worn stone, a sensitivity suitable for an intimate tea soft morning light and tranquility concomitantly. The rooftop swimming pool to enjoy the views to the east and south. Whether viewed from above or below, the forceful gesture pool offers a visual and visceral connection to the thin wavy line from dusk to dusk, or cerulean vast range of noon. During the day, the cool blue water is transmitted and transmuted into the living space through skylights built into the bottom of the pool. The dynamic interaction of light and shadow invigorates the space below. Located on the beach, the house offers direct access to water, thereby reinforcing the immediacy of the relationship with the site and the spontaneity of life in the islands.[via]
